Fr Le périodique, fondé par le leader cherokee William Potter Ross, est acheté au bout d’un an par des hommes d’affaire muskogee (creek). Le journal devient alors la voix de la Nation Muskogee. La devise du journal est : "We Seek to Enlighten".
