Student movements

This database contains forty journals linked to extra-European student movements of the twentieth century. They have taken part in broad discussions about the material and cultural conditions of subaltern and colonized populations, as on their racial, gender and socio-economic status. Besides their contribution to the social and political movements which gave them birth, they were actively engaged in the development of postcolonial identities and in the promotion of extra-European cultures.
