Fr "Staffrider" est un mot de l’argot populaire sud-africain désignant les personnes racialement ségréguées voyageant sur les toits de trains surchargés de passagers. La revue fut le plus important vecteur de littérature populaire en Afrique du sud pendant les décennies de 1970 et 1980.
